Restoring Balance, Encouraging Healing, Managing Pain.
Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most respected forms of traditional Eastern medicine, used to treat pain, illness, and imbalance in the body. At Cygnus Alternative Veterinary Care, we bring the power of acupuncture to pets, helping them heal naturally, reduce discomfort, and improve overall well-being.
Whether your pet is struggling with chronic pain, mobility issues, organ dysfunction, or stress-related conditions, acupuncture can offer a gentle, effective, and medication-free approach to healing. Every acupuncture session comes with a complimentary Laser Therapy session when applicable.

Acupuncture stimulates nerves, improves blood circulation, releases endorphins, and encourages natural healing. By targeting specific points on the body, it helps restore balance and helps the body heal itself from underlying conditions.
Not at all! Most pets barely notice the needles, and some even become so relaxed they fall asleep during treatment. The process is gentle, and we work carefully to ensure your pet’s comfort.
Every pet is different. Typically results are seen after three treatments but some may experience relief after one or two sessions, while chronic conditions may require ongoing care where the frequency drops to once a month or every other month. We will create a customized plan based on your pet’s condition and response to treatment.
Yes! Acupuncture can be safely combined with Western medicine, herbal treatments, laser therapy, and rehabilitation for a comprehensive approach to healing. For arthritic many other conditions, we like to combine acupuncture with a complimentary laser session to enhance the effects and speed up the response to treatment.
Most pets typically are tired the next day then have a large noticeable improvement 2 days after their treatment. We’ll provide guidance on what to watch for and when to schedule follow-ups.
